Hi Friends, Here with my other Halloween card from the Let’s Hang Out stamp set from Heffy Doodle. The spider were colored yesterday with Copic Pens. Already had the idea of what I was going to do, also using the Elm Street Dies from Heffy Doodle.
First, grabbed a 4 1/4 X 5 1/5 inch Bristol Smooth paper. Placed the moon from Tim Holtz Moon mask, with low adhesive tape rolled up under onto the the upper center of the panel. Using Distressed Oxides inks, Twisted Citron, Cracked Pistachio, and Rustic Wilderness. With my brushes starting lightest to darkest, going back to the lightest. Keep working the colors until a smooth blend. Once I was happy with the blend I then added to the edges with Black Soot. Once again going over with the greens. Lift up the solid moon and use an adhesive eraser to remove any adhesive from the tape. Added what was remaining yellow ink on my brush to the white moon. Then placed the crater mask over the moon adding Pumice Stone with the brush. You can tap off some of the ink before applying so its not to heavy in color. Water Splattered, after a minute placed paper towel over to soak up the water. Then using Gold Perfect Pearls adding a couple of drops of water mixed up. Splattered on with a thin water coloring brush in my splat box. Once dry, test by just adding embossing powder over the inks. If it sticks, then wipe off the powder and hit it with a heat gun. Once it was dry, I placed the sentiment from the set over the moon. Using Anti-static powder, stamping the sentiment with VersaFine OnxyBlack ink. Applied Lawn Fawn Black embossing powder and heated with a hot heat gun! Then I decided to do the same for the small bats from the set on and around the moon.
Cut the spooky tree from black and gray cardstock from my stash, four total. Offsetting with the gray on the underside, gluing them together. From the same gray, cut out the house and added a little darker gray on the outside edges. There is a die in the set meant just for cutting out the color for the windows! Brilliant! In a golden yellow from my stash I cut it out and glued to the backside of the house. The frame is also from Elm Street is in Black.
Spiders were stamped on X-press It paper with Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink.
Copic
Spider in tree: C7, C5, C3
Spider hanging: W7,W5,W3
I did some feather coloring because I wanted them to look hairy!
Once it was laid out, I wanted some spider webs on it but not in white. So did just some clear heat embossing in the corner and the one silk hang from the tree. It didn’t show up very well, but just left it be. Glued the trees and house in place. Added 3D foam adhesive to the back of the spiders. Putting the gray on the tree. The brown one hanging from the tree. There is foam adhesive also on the frame to build it up. When it was done, added some gold stars randomly on the background. Gluing the panel onto a 4 1/4 X 5 1/2 card base.
Thanks for stopping by!
