Hi Crafty Friends!
Here with my first hop ever, no pun intended!
Using from Heffy Doodle the Be Hoppy Stamp and die set. Knowing that I wanted to make the frogs up in the air looking like they were jumping made the decision to make a box card. Die Cutting the Outside the box from Honey Bee Happy Hearts 6 X 8 1/5 paper pad. Found a blue and green strip paper, knowing the color were pretty much green and blue. The waves inside the box was from MFT Sno-cone, add a little ink on the edges. Already had the back panel ink blended with cloud stencil from MFT also. Trying to use up panels and such laying around! Folding the taps that are embossed by the die and reinforcing with a bone folder. On the tabs, placing double sided 1/4 inch adhesive tape from Lawn Fawn. When building the box I used the tape and liquid glue to have time to adjust in the right place. Some times I’ll use my tweezers to hold and pinch until it is dry. When adding the inside wavy shelves, I’ll add all of them on the right, stacking them and lower just a little bit. Since the sides of the box is are level up at an angle. Then fold over the left panel onto the glued tabs of the shelves. Once down I’ll take the front panel and complete the box. I haven’t glued the cloudy panel yet to the back panel of the box, because I wanted to add the fly to the panel first.
Stamped out all the frogs, jumping frog(2). Both pussy willows(2each), lily pads, flower (3) and the log. Onto X-press it paper with Lawn Fawn Black Jet ink using my Misti.
Copic :
Frogs: G28, YG67,G24, G21
Tummy to the Frogs: E42, E41, E40
Log: E47, E44, E43, E42
Pussy Willow: G7, G5, E44, E43, E41
Lily Pad: YG09, YG07, YG05
Flower: R24, R22, R21, R20
Rocks: T7, T5, T3
Once colored, cut out with matching dies. Using low tack tape to hold in place, ran through my Gemini Jr. machine.
Using white scraps or picks, meaning thin strips of paper about 1/4 wide with different lengths. Add the images on top with liquid glue. But first glue the frog onto the log first, also the flower onto the lily pad. Frog also on the lily pad. The jumping frogs were placed onto acetate picks, the picks are 1/8 inch wide. To adhere use glue dots, if there is sticky behind the images hit it with some anti-static powder to remove the stick.
Grab your completed box and start adding the images. Start in the back wave adding the pussy willow and rock to the left and one to the right. I like to stagger the images and make it the best you can to see everything. One of the waves dips down so it was a great place for the frog with the umbrella lily. When you have the picks it makes it easier to add the images onto the waves. It will set them up higher then the wave rather then in front or behind the wave. The last frogs I adhered to the waves was the ones with the acetate picks. Making sure not to cover the fly on the cloudy panel.
Cut out from Neenah Solar white panels to have for the sentiment on the front. Also you can do side panels if you want. I stamped out the “Don’t Worry be Happy” with Versa Fine Black Onyx. Having an extra frog to add to the left side, since I didn’t stamp it out in center. Glued on the front with liquid glue. Cut out an extra panel for a person message on the back. Stamped out “Sending hugs from across the pond. ” in Versa Fine Black Onyx. Then placed the from that looks like its hugging. Same as the front panel, colored it up with the same Copic pen colors. Glued the panel in place.
Thanks For Stopping by!
