Beach Bag – PapertreyInk

Hi Crafty Friends,

Before summer ended I need to use these adorable dies from Papertreyink dies.

Papertreyink- Go-to Gift Card Holder: Beach Bag

It was a very popular product when the new release hit!

Cut the beach bag from pattern paper from my stash. (Hobby Lobby)

Matched up with solids from stash. This is really a easy one just depends on what your look is that your going for. Me, this would be a fantasy of all matching bag to go the the beach. Realistic is my bag doesn’t match as a matter of fact nothing does and it’s full of sand!

Background is a 4 1/4 X 5 1/2 Neenah Solar White panel. Ink blended Distress Oxide Antique Linen and Gathered Twigs. Once blended do some splatters on it covering the white side which will be the ocean. Flip it and blend on Salvaged Patina and Peacock Feathers on the outside edge. Don’t go all the way to the sand. If you leave a little white line it will look like seafoam. And no muddy look. Do some water splatter, dap off with a paper towel. Then smoosh the ink on a glass mat add water and splatter away. Make sure to cover the sand unless you want some blue in the brown. To get a nice shimmer I used Lawn Fawn Liquid Stardust. Let dry then cut out with a Stitched Rectangle die.

I like to construct all the items first. The phone with white and black glossy paper. Hat pattern paper, pink paper and the bow from teal. I did cut the hat again from the pattern, cutting the strips to paper piece on the hat. The flip flops I did do them several different ways trying to figure out the way I wanted them. In the bag or in front. Sunglasses were from Pink and Lawn Fawn Colored Pastel Pearlescent Vellum glued onto black cardstock. White circles, and bright pink and teal tassels. Beach ball base is from white with Teal pieces from the dies.

I arranged my bag with the items I wanted in it. Not gluing down, saw the perfect area for my Sentiment. Making sure the panel was dry I hit it with a heat tool. Add the Anti-Static powder and stamped with VersaMark. Using White embossing powder sprinkle on and tap off the excess. Make sure your Embossing heat tool is good and hot! You can once cooled off use a towel to puff off the remaining Anti-Static Powder.

Glue the panel on the a card base measuring 4 1/4 X 5 1/5. Place the bag with the contents in and squeeze glue in between bag and panel. Makes it a lot easier and guarantees the correct placement. I then glued the phone, hat and beach ball in place. Last thing was to add bling to the flip flops, bow, tassels, and by the sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by,

Debbie
