Hi friends,
Today I am sharing the new release Spa Day Dies over at Pixi Dust Designs. When I got the dies the first thing I thought of was doing them in Black and gold! Knowing that I was going in that direction I also wanted a gold marble background. My husband is a plumber, so I guess I know a little bit on fixers!
I knew I needed to do the shaving cream method to do the marbling. But not having a refiller for gold ink I had to get creative. So I used a Nuvo Mica Mist Aspen Gold into the shaving cream. Took a palette knife and swirled around in it. Then layed down Distress heavy card stock measuring 4.25 X 5.5 inches into the cream. Waited a couple minutes until I removed the card stock and wiped it off. I wish it showed up more in photos but it is beautiful!

Die cut the tub out of SSS glossy black, the robe and slippers from black cards stock in my stash. All the gold was die cut from Matte Gold from SSS.
I die cut three strips that are 1/4 inch and layered up with Bearly Arts glue. Glued on to the Panel 1 1/8 inches from the bottom.
Die cut the Spa Day three times also and stack up for the dimension.
The bubbles were cut out from Pixie Dust glitter card stock from Lawn Fawn.
There is only one slippers so I die cut one correctly and then the other was flipped over to the back side to have two slippers with the curve inwards.
The Panel once dry was cut down to 4 15/16 X 3 11/16 inches.
Black panel is 5 1/8 X 3 7/8
Gold panel is 5 3/16 x 4 inches
Once everything was die cut and glued together attached to the panels and attached to a Horizontal base measuring 4.25 X 5.5 inches.
Just added baubles from my stash for bubbles.
Thanks for stopping by,
Debbie
