Spellbinders- Umbrella Blooms

Hi friends, today I am finally using some of my Spellbinders stash. I have done the small and large die clubs for years.. By the time it arrived I would just go and label, enter into my Evernote and organize away!

I pulled out all of the dies, embossing folders, and sentiments that I wanted to play with! Basically I tried to bundle it up with a what went together.

Also I just bought the Sarah Renae Clark Color Cube to give me some inspiration!

Using #356 for the colors to use of the Color Cube. I knew I need a blue for the rain appearance.

1. Emboss 4.25 X 5.50 inches panel with MFT Blue Breeze and Spellbinders 3D Raindrops embossing folder.

2. Die Cut the base of the umbrella with Gina K Dusty Rose.

3. Die Cut the top layer of your choice. I did the polka dots in Lawn Fawn Ballet Slippers. Die cut out the pole in Matte Silver and the handle in the Dusty Rose.

4. Cut out twice all the flowers in the three colors, Ballet Slippers, Guava, Dusty Rose. I did the blue just once.

5. All off the leaves were cut our form PaperTrey Ink Tropical Teal card stock.

6. I was ready to start building the umbrella. But with the flowers I had to be careful on the adhesive. So added the Polka Dot layer on the top. Then the pole making sure it’s aligned correctly. When adding it to the base, only add the glue to the bottom so you have a slight opening to tuck the flowers in if you want. Once I did have all the flowers and greenery in place. I used the Seal and Press hinge method. Tape the Raindrop card panel in place, it does help a lot.

7. There was a few that needed a small 3D foam squares under the flowers.

8. Using the sentiment set from Spellbinders called I’ve You Covered. Heat emboss the sentiments with White on the Guava and Dusty Rose. Die cut out with the matching die and sentiment strip in my stash. Add with 3D Foam squares.

9. Add White pearl from my stash.

Thanks for stopping by,

Debbie
