Light Up Rocketship

Hi Friends, today I am sharing this stellar card that any little boy would love. This is also Day 4 of the Pretty Pink Posh Instagram Hop, so make sure to hop and comment over on IG for a chance to win a prize to PPP shop!

I did my first light up card using the 3 Twinkle lights from Pear Blossom Press. Can I just say these lights are super fun to use and the Double thick foam tape is amazing! It is repositionable!

Stamped and masked off all the stars, earth, and Rocketship from the New Outer Space Stamp set onto a 4 X 5.25 inch Horizontal panel from X-Press It Smooth White Cardstock. Not the easiest to blend on but I would have to COPIC color on it. As you stamp on the White also do a black panel the same size in white ink. This way you’ll know where the lights are going and will make a hole in the black panel in the correct area. I used the same die that was for the stars and a partial cut for the booster.

Ink Blended Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot.

The stars are a layering stamp, with Lawn Fawn Butter Ink. Before removing the masks I added some White Splatters for more star look to it.

COPIC Colors:

Rocketship: R24, R27, R29, C3, C1, C0, Y38, YR09, Y17, Y15, B000

Earth: B12, B14, W4, W2, W0

Once the panel is complete with the coloring and blending. Heat emboss with white the sentiment using an anti-static powder.

Stamp the “Push” on the Earth.

Lay out the lights and the push button over the top of the black panel in the die cut out stars, booster and the Earth for the button. Use low tack tape to hold in place. Then add the foam tape over the wires and tape to hold the button in place.

Adhere the panel over the black light panel. If it doesn’t align up right you can remove it and reposition once again. This is what is so brilliant about the Foam tape!

Add the panels to a Standard panel from MFT Red Hot. And then to standard card base top fold.

Thanks for stopping by,

Debbie
