Hi Crafty Friends,
It’s a boy theme for the New Release over at Pretty Pink Posh, sure wish my son was little again!
This is such a fun card! Not only does it have a shaker but it also glows in the dark! The Shaker bits and the background glow!
I started off with a panel (4X5.25 inches) of Spellbinders Island Blue card stock, placed it on a grip mat from Waffle Flower. Add the first layer of the New Shooting Stars Stencil and with a dedicated pouncer for Clear Versamark I pounced it on. Then added Lawn Fawn’s Glow in the Dark embossing powder. Hit it with a heat gun, make sure to keep moving and not get too close. You don’t want to burn it or warp your paper. I actually did it twice for each layer.
Add the remaining ink on your black Oxide brush to the edges. Make sure to wipe off your panel once it’s all done.
Place your largest die from the New Rocket Ship Shaker Die on the panel with low tack tape. Run through your cutting machine, Platinum 6 or Gemini Jr.
Die cut the whole Rocket Ship Die out of black card stock, the place the pieces in to make the openings for the frame and run through Gemini Jr.
Die cut the tip of the Rocket Ship out of a Silver Metallic card stock, wings from MFT Grape Jelly. The flames from a Gold Metallic card stock.
Cut out a piece of acetate to cover the opening of the Rocket Ship. On the back of the panel add 1/8 inch double sided adhesive tape. Add the acetate.
Add Pear Blossom Double thick foam tape to the back of panel around the acetate window. Make a channel for the new Celebration Beads and Starry Galaxy Mix shaker bits. Fill it up and add to the back black card stock to seal in the bits.
Flip it over and adhere to a standard Black Card stock measuring 4.25 X 5.5 inches.
Using liquid glue add the pieces of the Rocket Ship to the acetate window.
Heat embossed the sentiment, with Silver on black card stock.
Add some of the stars from the Starry Galaxy Mix to the front of the panel.
Attach to the Standard A2 card base.
Thanks for stopping by,
Debbie
