Sweetest Friends

Hi friends,

So I finally had some time to make a birthday card for my granddaughter. The family has a party for her and her brother Labor Day weekend. She turned 18 this year and is starting a preschool class on Tuesday. Ally is a huge fruit and veggie lover, so I had to go with the Sweetest Friends by My Favorite Things.

I decided to go with a one layer card, which meant masking the images.

I started off with a standard panel horizontal position in the Misti. You always start with the image that you want in front. So I stamped out the Critter with the Orange with Memento Tuxedo Ink onto X-Press It Smooth White card stock. Then placed in the GK Masking Magic and did a second generation stamp. Cut out and placed over the image. Nest the other two images the same way.

Place low tack over the mask images on the bottom. Ink blended on SSS Fairway for grass. Remove and place over the grass then blend on SSS Bubblegum lightly.

Remove the mask and copic color the images.

Apple Critters: E35,E34,E33,E31,E30,R11

Apple: R29,R27,R24

Orange Critters: E42,E41,E40,R11

Orange: YR07,Y38,Y35,Y32

Grapes:V09, V06,V05

Banana: E44,E42, Y04,Y02,Y00.Y32

Green:G28,G24,G21

Critter in bowl: E44,E43,E42,E41,E40,R11

Pineapple: YR27,YR24,YR23,E44,G21

Glass: BBG000

Die cut it out with the Waffle Flower Stitched Rectangle A2 Die. Then I highlighted the heck out of it with a white gel pen. Placed the panel back in the Misti and stamped out the sentiment. Then attached to a card base.

Thanks for stopping by and stay crafty!
