Christmas Garland Lights

Hi friends, today I have another card using the Color Cube for some help! This is so much fun to use, having color combos that I would never had thought of!

Die cutting the Christmas Lights Garland Dies from MFT-Fire Coral, Lawn Fawn-Tomato, Spellbinders-Forest & Mahogany. Adhering the lights to the strings with Liquid glue. You will need enough to make 4 strings, since this is a 5 X 7 card. I added white highlights to the bulb now.

Stamp out the three small ornaments, holly and bows from the Holiday Ornaments Stamps with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on X-Press It smooth white card stock.

COPIC Color Guide

Red: R24, R27, R29

Coral: R08, R05, R22

Green: G29, G28, T9

Mahogany: R59, R89, R56

Then with the Coordinating Dies tape down with low tack tape and run through P6. The string is from Joanns that is silver and elastic. I cut off a piece and taped to the back of the ornaments. Attaching the foam squares around it so it will be flush.

Next up I wanted a frame of lights, so I took a 5X7 panel of Bristol Smooth. Line up the string lights die on the one edge to where the bulbs will still be all the way one the base. Run it through your Die cutting machine. I got the Anna Griffin Empress for Black Friday, so my plates are so big now. It’s wonderful, I have had to run over to my friends before!

Then with the die moved over to another edge line up and I like to take my finish Light garland and place over the top of the die to see how it all looks and lines up. Just keep going around to make a frame. With the inner piece you now have, I ink blended on Gina K Soft Stone. I didn’t care for it, so I went over it all with Distress Oxide Lost Shadow. I liked that much better!!

Because I wanted to make sure once it was all attached and would be centered. I added liquid glue where the lights would be on the center gray piece and adhered the lights. So the green strings aren’t attached and that is fine because I need an opening to run the Ornament string though. Add white splatter to the lights and center.

Once all the string of lights are attached then add the Ornaments with the strings. Run the silver string in between the garland string and the gray center. Flip over and adhere the silver string to the back and tape down. Then add 3D Foam squares to the back and attach to the 5X7 Card base.

Die cut out the Winter Die three times, from the dark green and white card stock. White heat emboss the Greeting from Holiday Script Stamp set on the dark green and die cut out with the Sentiment Strips Dies. Attach with foam squares.

Thanks for stopping by and stay crafty my friends!
