Hi friends, the new release from Spellbinders is in the shop with a ton of flowers! This is the Begonias and Ladybug from the Summer Solstice Garden Collection!

So I started off die cutting out the Begonias from the Susan’s Garden Specialty Card stock. Then I ink blended on the yellow (SSS-Sunbeam) on all of the top of the layers. Then with the orange red (SSS-Apple) ink on the back side blended on the ink. Next, I used a Waffle Flower Shader Brushes with slant angle, coming in from the outside so it gave a brush effect on the pedals to give it more realistic effect. I then misted on the backside and with a stylist and a foam pad did the curving of each pedal.

With the leaves I did the same thing with adding the color on both sides. SSS -Artichoke and Cabbage Inks. With adding COPIC pen for some detail for the veining.

With the ladybug I just used my Copics and add some black dots. Then worked it in circular strokes with a stylist to it makes a nice round shell. After it was all made I coated it with Glossy Accents.

I then need a base so with the new Scallop and Stitched Edges Oval Die I die cutting out a white and a gold scallop. On the white I ink blended on yellow and did some yellow splatters. It isn’t available yet, but should be soon for May.

For the sentiment I used the Sending Smiles Sentiments set. Die cutting it out of gold and back. Then stamped and gold heat embossed the remaining of the sentiment. Another one that isn’t available yet! Soon!

Adhered it all together with liquid glue and add foam squares behind the sentiment and attached to a standard A2 card base.
