Hi friends, I wanted to share this lovely Petunia and Hummingbird Etched Dies of the Summer Solstice Garden Collection by Susan Tierney-Cockburn from Spellbinders May release.
I started off with the Petunias, die cutting them out of the Susan Tierney-Cockburn Garden Specialty Papers, it’s out of stock right now but will be back in stock soon. Then with SSS Sweets ink I blended in the center and on the edges. Next I took RV06 and did some flicking from the center. Then you mist the back side of the paper and with a stylus do circular motions to get the pedals to curl. With the leaves I inked on Limelicious Ink from Simon Says Pawsitively Inks.
Next was the hummingbird which I had to do two times to be happy with it. I die cut it out of X-Press It smooth White cardstock. Using my copic I colored it up with:
BG13, BG15, RV06, RV04 YG05, W1, W0, W5
For the background I took a A2 panel of Neenah Solar Crest #80 and embossed it with the new Petunia Cascading 3D embossing folder.
Then sentiment is from the Summer Solstice Garden Sentiments Betterpress and Dies.
I popped up the hummingbird and the sentiment with foam. The flowers don’t need any thing but liquid glue and hold it in place until it’s dry enough to stay standing.
Added a few pink pearls and matted it onto Mulberry Cardstock.
