Rats You’re Sick

Hi friends, I was at my girlfriend’s place for a few days a little while ago. She is a fan of Whimsy Stamp and I was able to play with her collections of stamps I don’t own.

So I stamped out the three images from the Rats You’re Sick Clear Stamp set. Copic colored them in with:

E23, E25, E27

Rat: W0, W1, W3, W5

R11

B91, B95

E41

T0, T1

I then fussy cut the image out. I then die cut out the Slimline Big Boo Boo Die set from Desert Storm card stock. I did a little ink blending on the edges with SSS Cappuccino Ink.

Next up was a sentiment since I forgot to stamp out any from her set before I left. So I grabbed the Cutie ABC Die set and die cut out three times the Concord & 9th Nutmeg card stock the word ACHOO!

For the remaining sentiment I used the Gnome Get Well Clear Stamp set with a dark brown ink. Then die cut it out with the Quick Sentiment Strips Die.

For the back ground I used a pattern paper from the Mix and Match Neutral Paper Pack. With the trimmer I cut it down to a standard A2 panel.

It is now time to assemble the card on a Portrait top fold card base. Gluing on the Polka dots first with liquid glue. Then I placed the Bandaid at an angle and attached it, trimming off the excess. Next to get the sentiment straight I laid it out on my glass mat and placed low tack tape on it to flip it over to add glue and place it on the bandaid. I didn’t get it perfect but it’s a handmade card! Popped up the Get Well Soon with foam squares and add it underneath the ACHOO!.

The sick rat went in the opening to give it a frame. I have these cute brown clay hearts and added one to the sentiment and the rest on the card panel.
