Calla Lillies

Hi friends, this is the new Calla Lillies Die set, Bouquet Wrap, and Foliage Dies from the new June release over at Pixi Dust Designs! How gorgeous are these flowers! I have a discount code for 10% off except on bundles. Dfrank10

I was looking for some inspiration, and when I did I found these gorgeous Purple colored Calla Lillies. I thought it would be fun to do something other than white ones.

I tried to colored them with ink and I didn’t care for them. So I die cut them out of card stock, using a lighter one for the highlighted areas.

Next I die cut out the previously released Bergenia Flower dies from pink cardstock. I did do a little ink blending to give some depth in the centers.

Also new in this release is the Bouquet Wrap Die set. I used a pattern paper that I had in my stash. Ink blended a little brown on the edge to give it some dimension.

Then with the new Foliage Die Set, I used two of the dies and die cut them out of a lighter green cardstock stock in my stash.

I assembled all the flower together with liquid glue. With a A6 Black panel that had been embossed with the Tiny Dots Embossing Folder from Spellbinders. Next I placed the Bouquet Wrap on top, arranging the flowers inside of it. With an arrangement I was happy with, I picked it up with the wrap. Added liquid glue on the backside of the wrap and placed it on the panel where I liked it. Leaving room for the sentiment.

For the sentiment I used the Butterfly Betterpress from Spellbinders. Popped it up with black foam squares.

Lifting up the Bergenia’s I added glue to the back to adhere it in place. And for the Calla Lillies there was foam squares on the backside. I opened up the wrap and then added liquid glue on the Foliage. I didn’t add glue to the whole die cut of foliage, because I wanted some lift. Makes it look more natural.

I can now finally close up the wrap and add the bow and the sentiment.

Lastly was to add some bling, using Bubble Gum gems from Trinity Stamps. Then looking at it I decided I would add gold Stickles on the Stamens of the flowers.
