Hi friends, today is Day 4 of the IG Hop going on for Pretty Pink Posh Summer/Beach release. For a chance to win make sure and hop on over to my IG @franklyjustcards, like and comment on everyone. If you missed any of the other day you can start at Pretty Pink Posh Blog.
I don’t know about you but this makes me so excited to go to the beach and doing some beach combing. One of our beaches hide blow glass for visitors. It’s huge for people to hunt for, they are so beautiful. Maybe one day I can go to look or maybe actually go to the shop and learn how to blow glass.
I started with my panel to give it time to dry. I ink blended on a standard A2 panel with SSS Marine ink, heavier on the bottom. Then ran it through with the Scalloped Pierced Plate with the rubber mat with the Platinum 6. Doing a impression rather then a cut. Then with the Eyelet Rectangle Die, I ran the panel again with that. Since it is a water scene, I added water splatter to it and laid a paper towel on top to pick up the color and dry it.
Next with Neenah Solar Crest I die cut out the Stitched Seashells, Shoreline Borders and the Stitched Corals. On a grip mat I added color to each of them.
Lawn Fawn: Mint and Apricot
SSS Pawsitively: Cookie, Cocoa, Tropic, Raindrop
Once the ink blending was done, I add the die cuts into my splat box. Added water droplets and picked up the color and water with a clean paper towel.
Now for more splatters, using Dr. PHD Martin white, Lawn Fawn- Pixie Dust and watered down inks. Set to the side to let it dry.
The Shoreline Border die is now dry and I ran the two die cuts through with the Eyelet Rectangle die to matchup with the background.
Popping the front Shoreline up with foam squares. I tucked the seashells and coral in place with liquid glue. I arranged the colors so no two of the same color was next to each other.
For the sentiment I stamped and white heat embossed from Sentiment Strips: Summer. After it was done I used the Sentiment Strips dies to cut it out.
I love how this turned out but I do wish the piercing on the panel showed up more in the photo. What do you think?
