Hey, Chum!

Hi Crafty Friends, today is the 50th Anniversary of JAWS! And a group of Whimsy Stamps designers are showcasing the Shark Products from Whimsy Stamps! I was fortunate enough to have the Lookin Shark Stamp Set, stamped out already. I don’t own it but my girlfriend does, I when she was over I stamped out the set.

My Copic coloring guide:

N1, N2, N3, N5

C0, 1, C3, C5

B91, B95, B97

R20, R22

E40, E42

Next with the Treasure Map Die I die cut it out off Desert Storm card stock with the Farmhouse Shiplap Red Rubber Stamp, I stamped over the map with a brown ink. Splattered on the water down brown ink. Then in the center of the map I die cut it out with the Comic Book Die. To give it a little grungy look I went around the outside and inside with a brown ink brush. I really wanted this map to give the illusion of an old shipwreck.

Then for the sentiment with the retired Just Beachy Stamp set, I partially stamped out the Hey, and white heat embossed on black card stock.

For the Chum! I die cut out three times the letters with the Bold ABC Die set from white card stock. Inking blending on Cherry Ink from Simon Says Pawsitively ink. Going a little heavier on the bottom of each of the letters. Then I stacked them up and attached with liquid glue so there is dimension. Then for the rest of the sentiment is from the set and using the Quick Strips Die I die cut out the You’re a Killer!

I popped up the map and the Shark with foam squares. Then with liquid glue I adhered the letters and popped up the sentiments. The Hey, has foam one side because it overlaps the letters.
