Butt Nugget

Hi friends, I recently got the Butt Nugget Stamp set from Whimsy Stamps and had to play! I have chickens next door so this was so appropriate from me!

I went through my stash and saw the Mini slimline Pickens Gumdrop die. I thought it was perfect for the Coop, Whimsy Stamps does have a Chicken Coop Die set but I don’t have it yet!

So I started off with a medium gray card stock measuring 5.75X2.75 inches. I stamped and heat embossed the Wire Rubber Background with a silver embossing powder. Since the Wire Background stamp isn’t big enough, I placed the panel after the first stamping in my Misti with a clear sleeve over the top. Aligned up as well as possible with a black, lifted the lid. Saw it was off a little and with the panel made the adjustments. Then did the stamping again with the clear sleeve still over the panel. Just a double check! Then clean off the red rubber stamp with VersaMark and heat emboss the remaining on the panel.

Next, I die cut it out with the Mini Slimline Pickens Gumdrop die. Saving the centers to inlay on the Red mat.

Then I stamped out the chickens and later a lot more of the grass to tuck in as if it was hay.

Once the coloring was done I die cut them out with the Coordinating Dies. Popping up the chickens and the outer portion of the Wire Backgroung with foam squares, the hay is adhered with liquid glue directly on to the Wire background.

The sentiment from the set was stamped out on white card stock and die cut out using the Quick Strips dies.
