Sand Bucket Shaker

Hi friends, I’m so excited to share with you the new Sand Bucket Shaker Die! I have to say this is one of my favorite cards I made! I had so much fun making it! The colors of course are inspired by the beautiful Underwater Clay Mix.

When we go to the beach, we know the sand sparkles so I had to use some glitter paste using the new Summer Words Stencil!

While the panel dried, I stamped out the Seashells Stamp Set onto Copic friendly paper using Memento London Fog Ink. I used the gray ink because I didn’t want the harsh black lines. A perfect alternative!

Once the coloring was done I cut them out with the  Coordinating Dies. Adding some  simmer and white highlights to the shells.

Now that the panel is dry, I took the outside die from the Sand Bucket and cut it out of the center of the panel. Also die cutting it out of the Wild Lilac card stock from Spellbinders with both the dies to create a frame. The handle was cut from Purple Mist card stock by Spellbinders. Rather than die cutting out the top of the bucket I decided to leave it and add a polkadots pattern paper from my stash.

I flipped over the panel and added the acetate with double sided adhesive. Normally at this point I would add my foam strips to make the shaker well. But I wanted to add the sentiment from the Seashell Stamp Set onto the acetate using StāzOn Opaque Cotton White Ink. Let it dry for a little bit before you flip it back over to add the foam.

Once I filled the well up with the Underwater Clay Mix I added the same color card stock as the handle to close the well so none of the beads fall out.

Next, back to the front side of the panel I added the Lilac frame, only gluing on the edges. Because I wanted to be able to tuck the shells into the bucket. The handle was trimmed down a bit and not placed all the way to the bucket. No one will ever know, it still gives the illusion that it is hooked onto the bucket.

Added three of the shells to the bottom right of the bucket with the middle one popped up with foam squares.

With some teal twine from my stash, I made a bow and attached it on the polka dot piece of the bucket.

Tell me what you think, should have I added some splatter or not? I’m kind of surprised I didn’t!😁

I think I need a beach trip somewhere tropical now!
