Watermelon Shadow Box

Hi friends, I had so much fun making this Shadow Box card with the Watermelon Stamp Set from Pretty Pink Posh Stamps.

I started off die cutting out the Shadow box from Doodlebug Berry Sweet paper pack. I also die cut it out of a blue cardstock to attach to the back of the shadow box once it is assembled. Then there are two layers of grass using Hero Arts-Meadow card stock. Then frame from the set is from Spellbinders – Wild Berry. Have I mentioned how wonderful their new card stock is? Well worth every penny!

Next I stamped out the images from the Watermelon Stamp set. And copic colored them in was very easy!

Copic coloring guide:

G21, G24, G29

G09. G17, G19

R24, R27, R29, R39

YG21, YG23, YG25

Then with the Coordinating dies I die cut out the melons and slices. I keep having to go back and stamp and color more to get it nice and full to where I was happy.

Next, I knew that I wanted some ants to be packing off the slices. So with the Big Celebrations Cupcake Dies, I die cut out three of them going the same direction.

With the Get Well Mug Dies I die cut out the small clouds and the sun. The Sun will be trimmed down to fit in the back corner panel

I stamped and white heat embossed the Melon on black card stock. For the “Thanks a” I stamped and white heat embossed it on the Wild Berry card stock. Die cutting it out with the Sentiment Strips Dies.

After I had it all assembled and the images were attached, there was an opening that bothered me. So flowers are always an option! I grabbed the Spring Foliage Die set, and with the very smallest flower. I die cut out three from Stampin’ Up Lemon Lolly cardstock. Love this pale yellow card stock!

I tried to give the ants some eyes with white gel pen and it just didn’t work for me. So why not do Goggly eyes! I did just the one on the front of the Shadow Box. I did look at all three ants but it was just to much.

On the back of the shadow box I added a Stitched gift card holder.
