City Holiday

Hi friends, today I have the City Holiday Etched dies by Yana Smakula over at Spellbinders August release.

I started off by die cutting out the City Holiday Etched Dies the building first. I knew that I wanted to do a red house only because my daughter just bought a red house.

Next was the curtains in pink only because I love pink and red together for the holidays.

Of course I had to use the dog, purely because she has a black pup that I love so much. I kept the inside of the windows dark with the black only because I was struggling with it and I didn’t want yellow as though the lights were on.

I splattered all my die cuts with white splatters, even the dog. For the trees I added some texture with the Distress Grit Paste Opaque using a spatula.

For the background I used Breezed Card stock and Ink blended around the edges to build up a darker scene. I splattered on water and dapped it off with a clean paper towel and then with white.

The sentiment was already made from the Comfort and Joy Sentiment set. Gold heat embossed on to a dark green card stock. How lucky was that!

So here I have a night time scene with the dog outside. If only it came with a Santa going down the chimney,
