Classic Mouse Holiday Wreath

Hey friends, Steam Boat Willie Duo Etched Dies are popping back in from over at Spellbinders Paper Arts. Spellbinders has come back with Christmas add on, which we all love!

I am showcasing the Classic Mouse Holiday Wreath Dies along with the Classic Mouse Embellishment Etched Dies.

I started off going through my pattern paper stash looking for something that would give me inspiration. If you have noticed I have been on a red, pink and teal color combo kick for my Christmas cards this year!

So I found this sweet pink and polka dot pattern paper. So I die cut out the wreath from two shades of teal. But Mickey needed a Santa Hat and scarf from the Classic Mouse Embellishment dies.

I knew that I wanted him to pop out more from the wreath and holding it. So I need to die cut out two different arm sets and cut them apart. When I adhered it all together I found it best to glue the hands in place. And then slide Mickey in as the glue is still wet enough to move the arms around so it matched up to his body correctly.

Then with the Bows and Bells Scallop Frame Die, I die cut out just the stitch and straight edge ones with white and red. This is where I will pop him up on, and it will set it apart from the pattern paper.

The hardest part of the card is where to place the holly on the wreath. I settled on his hat brim for the one, because it looked strange at his eyes or nose.
