Hi crafty friends, I’m shaking things up with the Monster Halloween Clear Stamp along with the Primitive Candy Corn Dies from Whimsy Stamps. I have had the Candy Corn for a little while but this is the first time using it.
I started off by die cutting the inner die of the candy corn and then coloring it up by ink blending on some yellow and orange inks from Simon Says Pawsitively inks.
Then with another standard A2 panel, I ink blended on some Lilac, Amethyst, and Orchid Pawsitively Inks. Splattered on some diluted black paint, and a shimmer like Perfect Pearls. Mine is from Spellbinders Sparkle Silk. With the stamp set there are some bats that I stamped on with black ink.
Next with the panel dry, I took the out die and tilted in the center of the panel and ran it through my die cutting machine. Then with the die taped together I die cut it out again with black card stock for the frame. But before I add the acetate, I took a card base and set the panel on top. This will help with the placement of the colored candy corn pieces. I added liquid glue to the card base and in laid the pieces on the base.
Next, I flipped it over the panel and attached a sheet of acetate to cover the window. Then I attached foam all around the window of the Candy Corn making the well for the shaker bits from my stash. I then carefully added the card base. It is easier since in was a full panel. I used the double thick foam tape by Pear Press Blossom which you can peel the panel back up if it isn’t align correctly. You have like 20-30 mins to play around with it.
Back to the front of the panel I attached the black frame. Oh, I should mention I did die cut out the stitches and the face pieces as well.
Then with the Monster Halloween stamp I stamped on the one image, Copic colored the monster and then with the Coordinating Dies cut it out.
COPIC Coloring Guide:
Y11, Y13, Y15, Y17
YR02,YR04, YR07
C1, C3, C5, R11, R22
With the Happy Large Word Die I die cut it out of orange two times and black once. Stacking it up the two Oranges, and off setting with the black one. For the sub sentiment I went to the Cat-O-Lantern Stamp Set and did partial stamping with the “Happy Halloween. With low tack tape covered the Happy, applied the Versa Mark Ink. Removed the tape then stamp and white heat embossed onto black card stock. Using the Quick Stripes Dies to trim it out.
Since the card had thickness to it because of being a shaker, I just add the rest of the images with liquid glue.
