Hi Friends, today for you I have the Candle Creeps Clear Stamp from Whimsy Stamps. This is an older stamp set but I used it with the new Fire and Ice Die set. When I first saw the dies I was like have to have!
On this I die cut out the Fire and Ice die, and in the center die cut piece I stamped out the image from the Candle Creep set. Then with a red, orange, and yellow inks I blended on the piece. Because I knew that I would be adding the Candle over the top without all the white showing through.
Next, I stamped out the image with Copic friendly ink and paper.

Next, I fussy cut out the image, cutting off the more detailed stuff like the spider, web and the curly things on the candelabra. I cut right on the lines and then with a black Memento pen colored the white cut lines of the paper.
This is where I started to struggle, what color to die cut out the Fire and Ice Frame! I ink blended a green one first, looked awful with the red, orange, and yellow background. Then I die cut out a red one, but the problem was I still had no idea on what else I was using with it.
So I went to my paper packs, and found the Hocus Pocus paper pack had the perfect green with spiders pattern paper. It was then with the images and the back ground I felt like it all popped up against the paper. So I went with a black and gray frame.
In the set is a cute sentiment that I thought was fun. I didn’t have room to stamp it out on the panel. So I stamped and die cut it out with my trimmer and matted with black. Popping it up with foam squares.
Looking at it now, I’m wondering if I should have add black splatter or something. What do you think, does it need more?
