Simon Ski-son’s Greeting

Hi crafty friends, here with the new Ski Lodge Etched Dies part of the Simon Ski-son’s Collection by Simon Hurley over at Spellbinders.

I started off with the Streamline 3D Embossing Folder and a standard A2 white panel and ran it through my P6 die cutting machine. I actually liked the back side of the panel rather than the way it was intended.

Next with the Ski Lodge Etched Dies I started die cutting out the lodge and trees doing some ink blending on the edges for some depth.

Since it is a snow scene I used the Simon Hurley Woodland Scene for the snowy hills with Lawn Fawn Pixie Dust Glitter card stock to ground the lodge. Then with the Country Christmas Barn Etched Dies from a previous release in July. I used the snow edges for the wood railing on the lodge and the top of the chimney.

Next, I placed it in my splat box and splattered on White for a snowy effect.

There is the Ski-son’s Greetings Sentiments BetterPress but I don’t have it. So I used the “Let it Snow” from the Joy and Comfort sentiment BetterPress in my stash.

I popped up the trees and the sentiment, the finally touch was the clay snowflakes.
