Hi crafty friends, here with the Glimmer of the Month Club- Luxe Links and the Large Die of the Month Club- Charmed Life from Spellbinders! This is definitely a large die for the month, I’m making a 5X7 card to accommodate the purse and get all the charms on it. Which I should mention the pig is the Caboodle bonus gift this month!

So a friend asked me to make a card for her cousin who loves pigs. Both her and her mom have bought all my cards with pigs on them just for this relative! She works in the fashion industry and lives in New York, so this was the perfect set for her.

I started off doing a tone on tone with black foil and Raven card stock and hot foiling the Luxe Links Glimmer plate. Then with the Purse die I cut it out, keeping the length of the purse long because I needed to see where it would need to lay on the 5X7 card base.

Next, I die-cut out the charms for the purse, going with a plum, blush, glossy black and matte gold card stocks. For the scarf I used a water color pattern paper in my stash. Vellum was used for the pigs wings.

I assembled everything together with liquid glue and placed on the purse.

I still needed a sentiment, but with the Luxe Links Glimmer plate there is also the sub sentiment. I hot foiled it with gold onto the glossy black. Then, I went through my stash and found a Simon Hurley’s Every Day Sentiments die set that was the perfect size. Die-cutting it out of the Plum and Glossy black then popping it up with foam squares.

I gave it to my friend and she loved, I can’t wait to hear what the cousin says about it. She was in Italy recently and bought 5 purses, one was plum!
