Elf Hat and Birdie Friends in Winter

Hi friends, I took a little me time and played with my stash the other day. I would love to do this more often. I knew right away that I wanted to use Waffle Flower Products. Then I started flipping through my dies and saw all the cuties I got back in July. The one that I haven’t done yet is the moose, hopefully soon!

I started off with the Elf Hat Die, die-cutting it out of polka dotted (snowish) pattern paper from Lawn Fawn and a basic red card stock. Before I attached them I ink blended on the edges to give depth. On the bell I used Metallic red and black card stocks.

Next, with the Birdie Friends in Winter Die & stencil (stencil is out of stock) I die-cut out the birds and ink blended on a matching color. Keeping a more of a monochromatic color theme.

I then die-out the Snowflake Background Die from a standard A2 panel. Keeping the negative snowflake pieces to attach later. Adhering directly on to a card base with liquid glue.

Then with the Elf Hat glued onto the Snowflake Panel, I popped up the Birdie with foam squares and attached him on the hat.

I stamped and white heat embossed the “Hope your Christmas is” and die cut it out with rounded label sentiment dies. Then I trimmed out the “Elf-tastic” from Fa-la-la Sub-sentiments. I went from the back of the label around the edge with a Black Memento pen to cover the white cut lines.

The last thing I did was with the negative snowflakes I popped a few of them up with small foam squares and attached them on and around the Elf hat.
