Hi friends, I’m finally pulling out the Snow Angel Pups Duo Die-N-Stencil along with the Snowy Hills Bundle from Waffle Flower Crafts Pawder Day Release. I knew I wanted to make this Christmas Card for a friend that works in a Veterinary office and has two Bernese Mountain Dogs.
I started off by die-cutting out from white card stock two of the Pup Dies. Then with the stencils from the bundle I tried to color up one as the Bernese. Then I decided to do the second one just a brown dog, yes I was discouraged!
Next, with a standard A2 white panel and the tree line dies from the Snowy Hills Dies cut it out. Then I went in using the stencils and colored up the trees.
I then used a method that Crissy Armstrong used to make it look a little frog by the trees. I used some Distress blue inks and a foam dapper brushing the ink on from the top down. This way it will keep the white around the tree tops.
For the Snow hills I used a small brush and swiped on some ink, I did mask some of it off above with low tack tape.
With the Snow Angle Pup stencil, I placed the pups down first to get a general idea of where I wanted the swish markings to go. Then removed the pups and placed the stencil down and made two of the Angel marking, masking off some areas so I didn’t make any overlapping of ink.
Before I went any farther I did some white and sparkle splattering. Set it to the side to dry.
Then as that is drying I die cut out a few homes in grey for more of a shadow look and windows and doors were in laid.
For the sentiment I stamped and white heat embossed “ Sending Warm Wishes” and die cut out with its Coordinating Dies from the Snow Angels Sentiment Combo set.
Final touches were adding some shiny silver snow flakes from my stash. Popping the pups on with foam squares.
