Since New Year’s Eve is right around the corner, I thought why not do a card for the special evening! Also it is my baby girls birthday and she is turning 31 years old! UGH! I’m an old lady!🤣

Anyhow, for my 5X7 card I used the Pierced Snowflakes Plate and a larger panel. I did my creative die-cutting. With the Pierced Snowflake plate horizontal on the panel and the cutting plate on the one edge so it doesn’t cut the card stock. Then slide it down, and with the die cutting plate now off the top edge. Run it through the machine but not far enough to cut the other end. So basically you’re cutting in between on the two edges. Once more and you can put a 5X7 card base next to it some you know where to end. I did add some splatter with silvery look, you could use Perfect Pearls.

You will be doing the same thing with the Scallop Frame Die to make the Matte Gold Frame.

Next, with the Dog Holder Dies and the Cat Holder Die I die cut out the pieces to make them. I did do a little ink blending on the edges of the bodies for some dimension and adding googly eyes. Attaching them together and popping them up with foam squares.

But they still need some sparklers in the paws! So with the Big Celebration Cupcake Dies and the Graduation Mugs Additions Dies I die-cut the sparklers out of gold and silver glitter card stock.

We also need to dress them up fancy for the night! I die-cut out a top hat and a darling little bow from the Christmas Cake Pop Dies.

To set the scene I die-cut out some of the Winter Trees from a pearlescent card stock from Lawn Fawn. And on the bottom I die-cut out one of the Snowy Hills Border Dies from Pixie Dust Glitter Card stock.

The little stars that I used to decorate the trees with are in the Graduation Mugs Additions Dies.

I then stamped and gold heat embossed the “ Happy New Year” from Christmas Banner Greetings Stamp Set. And die-cut it out with the Banner Greetings 2 die set. I also die-cut out “Happy” from the Happy Halloween Shadow dies. I did three times and once from a Metallic gold and stacked them up for dimension.

For the finishing touches, I add Gold Metallic Pearls to the center of the bows. And added Glossy Accents to the noses and set it to the side to dry!
