Foundry Wax Decorative Shamrock

Hi friends, today I got a little dirty on my fingers but it was worth it! I have the new Decorative Shamrock Dies from Pretty Pink Posh Valentine’s Day/ St. Patrick’s Day Release!

I actually started off with the Lucky Words Stencil and a standard A2 panel of a light lime card stock. Then with SSS Pawsitively Field ink and the stencil on a grip mat. After the words were stenciled on I removed the stencil and went over with the brush and the residual ink on the brush. Then I splattered on some diluted gold paint from Gansai Tambi set and set it to the side to dry.

Next, I die-cut out the outer Decorative Shamrock die with a medium card stock. Then I embossed with the Decorative die using the rubber mat from my Platinum 6 die cutting machine. I then got dirty, I pulled out the Gilded Distress Foundry Wax by Tim Holtz. I put a little on the glass mat, tapped my index finger in and tapped a little over and gently went over the embossed edges. And then hit it with a heat gun to set it. There are some small circles in the impressions but I added the smallest Gold Pearls in there with Liquid glue.

To separate the Shamrock from the Lucky Word panel I die-cut out the smaller Pinking Rectangle Die from vellum.

Taking the Lucky Word Panel and trimming it down by 1/8 inch on all sides and matting it to a black card stock.

Attaching the Shamrock die to the vellum at an angle, and then adhering to the Lucky Panel, having the shamrock covering where the vellum is attached.

Then with the Lucky to Know You Stamp set, I stamped and gold heat embossed the “You’re in Luck” popping it up with foam squares.
