Whimsy/Distress Oxide Hop

Hi crafty friends, today is there is a Whimsy Stamps and Distress Oxide Cube Hop going on over on Instagram. So make sure to hop on over to comments for a chance to win!

I started off with OLO Premium Blending card stock measuring 4X81/2 inches. And with the Baby Sea Creatures and Under the Sea and Big Love Manatees Stamps, I chose some of the cute images and stamped and masked them off. I did a reel so I will post it to help.

It maybe a little too zoomed in, I changed the format for this square.

After I had all the masking was done, I started off at the bottom with Antique Linen DO and blended on then went to the DO Gathered Twigs around the edges.

Next, going to the top and working my way down. Once I liked my blend I splashed on big drops of water and picked up with a clean paper towel. With Picket Fence I splattered on Cinderella Slippers. But I have to be honest I could be wiped off so easily. I did it three times trying to get it to stay on! Super frustrating! I even hit the panel with heat to dry it!

With the Mini Bubbles (retired) I inked it up with DO Uncharted Marnier and stamped it out just using my hand. No Misti!

I then peeled off the masks and Copic Colored the images in

YR7, R14, R17, Y11, Y15, YR15, YR18, V01, V04, V06, YG01, YG03, YG06, G7, Y23, E41, E43

Now my coloring is done and the panel is dried. So I stamped and white heat embossed the sentiments from the Mermaid Moments and Under the Sea Stamp sets.

With Distress Glaze I applied all over the panel and then wiped it off with a clean paper towel . And once again I applied some of Spellbinders Sparkle Silk Essential to see if it will stay on. And it did!

I decided at the last minute to trim off the 1/8 inches on all sides and attach it to a slimline card base.
