Hi friends, how beautiful are these Upright Italic BetterPress Plates by Paul Antonio of the Upright Italic Everyday Sentiments Collection over at Spellbinders? Today, I’m using the “Happy Birthday” with a Matte gold foil and the “Thank You” with Aura Foil on Raven Black Card Stock.

I started off by heating up my Glimmer, and laying the Upright Italic Thank you BetterPress Plate on first to warm it up as the glimmer warms up. Then with the cut foil to place over and a half sheet of Raven I ran it through my Platinum 6 Die-cutting machine. Next was the Upright Italic Happy Birthday BP with the Matte Gold and Hammermill card stock. I do the half sheet so I can play around with the placement of the sentiments.

Once I knew where the Thank You would work, I die-cut it out with the Linear Touch Rectangles & Tags Dies

Then with the flowers from the Large Die of the Month Classic Kicks. I die-cut out the florals to make a arrangement hugging the sentiment. I then add a few Crystal Mix gems to the panel.

I matted it with the same lavender card stock as the flowers. I think it turned out really pretty with the black card stock.

For my second card I decided to have the sentiment up higher on the panel. I die-cut it out with the Perfect Touch Rectangle and tag Dies. For the flowers with this card, I used an oldie but a goodie Be Bold Blooms die set.
