Summer Camp-Boys

Hi friends, the new much anticipated Summer Camp Collection by Allison Frazier over at Spellbinders is now available! The release was all inspired by her fond memories going to summer camp as a kid. Mine also went to summer camp, and all I remember is my son writing me a letter on how he wanted to come home and for me to come get him. Yes, I cried! He was fine once I got there!🤣

I have three cards to share; these are my boy critters and later I’ll be sharing the girls.

So, for this one I had to make a raccoon card using the Trailside Trio Dies. My stepson loves raccoons as well as my grandson, so this is why I had to do a Happy birthday using the Trails End Dies for the sign. I’m ahead of schedule on the birthday card, since it’s not until August! Yay me!

With the post in the Trails End Dies I die-cut out several and placed them side by side to make a picnic table. I cut one of the post in half and used them for the legs. I used the Torn Edge Dies for the grass, I don’t have any Spellbinders grass dies so I had to impervious.

We went camping a lot with our kids but we didn’t rough it for long, bought trailers and they kept getting bigger!

So we always made S’more when we went camping and the Camp Days Dies are perfect. The set has the fire, marshmallows, sticks, and the lantern plus much more!

And of course in the Pacific Northwest we have plenty of trees. The Trails Ends Dies has cute little trees and a Hammock! I’ll use the Hammock on the next set, I have more ideas than I have time to make!

With the Gray Squirrel I used the Woodland Trio Dies, Splash Days, and the Lakeside Memories Stencil.

The Lakeside Memories Stencil is great, it is made for portrait style. But I did mask it off so the highlight in the water wasn’t hitting the water on the front side of the canoe. Changing out the colors with the stencil can make some amazing scenes in itself! I did the mountains brown for one of my cards for a more desert look.
