Essentially Yours Sentiments

Hi friends, today I have two new collections from the April release at Spellbinders! With the new Poppy Song Collection and I paired it up with the Essentially Yours Sentiments collection which is perfect together!

I needed a Sympathy card for a dear friend that lost her mom and the Poppy dies were perfect!

For my first card, I used the Favorite Song 3 D Embossing Folder and ran it through with a standard A2 panel. Next with the Essential Arch Dies, I die cut out the third largest arch from white. Then matched it up to the panel in the embossing folder and ran it through the P6. Next, I used the second largest die and die cut out the pink card stock to mat the white embossed arch.

With the Leaf & Bloom Dies, I die-cut out the Poppy’s twice from a bright pink cardstock and also the greenery from two shades of green.

I adhered the panel and arches to a card base. Before I made my arrangement I added some foam squares to the back of the poppies but didn’t peel off the backings. Then I made my arrangement to where at the bottom the stems would be stacked together and the sentiment would lay over the top of the stems. Once I liked my arrangement I placed something heavy to hold it in place and lifted the poppies and peeled off the backings to the foam.

For my sentiment I used the Essentially Yours- Best Wishes Dies. I first die-cut the shadow the bright pink and black on top. I knew right away that it had to be reversed! I will say these new sentiments are the perfect size! With the shadow you can use or not! To finish it off I used some Ombré gems from Pink Fresh.

For my Sympathy card I used the new Playful Stitched Panel Dies. Die-cut them out twice from white and black with the largest and second to largest dies. Attaching them on to a poppy cardstock A2 panel and card base.

Next, I die-cut out the Leaf & Blooms dies once from Poppy card stock at Spellbinders. Fitting, right?! Clustered them together and tied them off with a thin black ribbon. Adding foam to the back of the poppies and adhered to the white panel.

Then with the Essentially Yours-With Sympathy Dies, I die-cut out the shadow from black and the top from white. Popped up with foam squares on the back and attached to the panel.

To finish it off I added 5 gems from my stash!
