Hi friends, there is a group of IG friends that got together to do hops every quarter with a theme. This quarter the then is Summer/Beach theme. What is great about this hop is that we can use our stash and mix and match with any of out companies we have

For my card today I went with all Hello Bluebird. They had switched over to kits last year and this is the first time I got to play with it.

I started off with a little larger slimline panel of Bristol Smooth card stock. Blending on Distress Oxide Anitque Linen, Tumbled Glass, and Salty Ocean. Masking off in thirds, I ink blended on the Antique linen and the Salty Ocean. When I did the Tumbled Glass for the sky it was coming out blotchy. But quite honestly I didn’t mind, it gave the illusion of clouds.

With a paper towel I covered up areas to splatter on the darker inks in the sand and ocean. But when I used Lawn Fawn Pixie Dust I splattered the whole panel. Set it to the side to dry.

Next, I stamped out a bunch of images from these sets: Beach Bums, Beach Friends, and Gone Surfin’. Using X-Press It Smooth white cardstock and Memento Tuxedo Black ink in my Misti.

Then I die cut the images out with their matching dies. Adding foam squares behind the trees, Hammock, sandcastle and critters.

The panel is now dry so I placed it in my Misti to figure out where to stamp the sentiment, I laid out the design of the images. Stamping out the sentiment in black.

But I still need some sea foam! So with a VersaMark pen I scribbled between the sand and ocean. Then I add white embossing powder and heat set it.

Attaching the images and with liquid glue adding the panel to a slimline card base.
