Hi crafty friends, today I’m showcasing the HBD Balloons dies part of the Aged to Perfection Collection from the newest release at Spellbinders.

I started die-cutting out the balloons from white card stock and ink blended on a rainbow of inks. Adding on the strings and the bows are from the Up and Away Dies (on Clearance) from a previous release by Simon Hurley. After I finished inking up the balloons I took a white paint pen and added back in the highlights.

Next, I grabbed the Tunnel Clouds Etched Dies and die-cut out the two layers of clouds. Then ink blended on the edges with a light blue ink.

For the background panel I used a panel of Windy Cardstock and ran it through with the Head in the Clouds Embossing Folder. After the panel was embossed, I went over it with a White Pigment ink.

I still needed a sentiment, so with the Birthday Wishes Sentiments BetterPress. I hot foiled the White foil on a Glossy Black card stock and die-cut it out with the matching die.

I adhered all the layers together and with foam behind part of the sentiment to keep it level.

The final touch was adding three small Crystal gems in the center of the bows.
