Simon Says Stamp – In My Heart Blog Hop Day 2

Hi everyone!

Welcome to Day 2 of Simon Says Stamp In My Heart release blog hop! Be sure to check out Simon Says Stamp blog where the celebration begins.

To see more inspiration of this beautiful release check out the Gallery on the Simon Says Stamp website.

BLOG HOP EXCLUSIVE

Not-yet-released Simon Says Stamp Beautiful Day 3×4 stamp is automatically added to your cart that contains any purchase from the Simon Says Stamp exclusive In My Heart collection! This gift with purchase will expire 3/22 at 11:59 pm EDT or while supplies last.

For my cards today I am using the gorgeous Gerbera Background Stamp from the release. I’m showing two different ways to add color to a background stamp.

For the first one, I did a super simple ink blend over each flower. Using the small and the detailed brushes from Simon Says Stamp. With the detailed brush I even did a little flick to get the color out to each of the petals. Trimmed it down by 1/8 inch on all sides and adhered to a standard card base. For the sentiment I used the previously released Giggle Thank You Wafer die.

With my second card I went more dramatic and used my copics. I used three shades for each color and went in with a flicking motion. Once the flowers were all colored I went in with the Copic 100 and filled in the open spaces. Trimmed in down and matted with black card stock and added the previously released Giggle Hello Die for the sentiment.
