Hi friends, how much fun is it that Spellbinders keeps adding more with the Classic Mouse with the Classic Mouse Graduation Etched Dies!?

So, let me start off by letting you know that my son is graduating from Ohio State University with his doctorate in Computer Science and Engineering on May 10th. So with that said I had to use the college colors and the design for the Doctorate Program of Engineering which is Poppy and dark blue with the three stripes on the sleeves.

I started off with the Classic Mouse Graduation Sentiments BP Plate, and glimmered the tassel and the “ Class of “ with silver foil on the Indigo card stock trimming it out with the matching die.

Then with the Tiny Dots embossing folder and poppy card stock I ran it through my P6 die-cutting machine then trimming off 1/8 inch on all four sides. Attaching the embossed panel to a standard A2 Indigo Panel card stock.

Next, I needed the stripes in gray so I used the Stripe Right Etched dies from the Just Add Cake Add-ons Collection. I attached the stripes with liquid glue on the embossed panel with an angle to the stripes.

Then popping up the tassel with foam squares.

I die-cut out the number with the silver and shadow of Indigo cardstock attaching them with liquid glue. I decided to cut out the small cap as well and again from silver card stock to trim off the silver tassel and gluing it over the blue tassel.

After I adhered it all together to the panel and added some matte silver pearls from Trinity Stamps.

For my second card I decided to make the hats spin, as all graduates do toss the cap! I started off by die-cutting out the Classic Mouse-Graduation Dies and then four more caps to toss. I did go a little crazy by die-cutting out the tassel with silver and gray to attach with liquid glue.

Then with the Solar Flare Embossing Folder from last month’s club kit, I ran it through with a standard A2 panel with the center of the flare offset to the left side.

Next, with a circle punch I did the four holes to add four spinners from Pear Blossom Press and then attach the grad caps to the top. I placed the spinners on and added double thick foam stripes to the back of the panel and added to a card base. Then I flipped it to the front and attached glue dots to the spinners to attach the grad caps.

With the hats in a half moon shape I left the perfect spot to add the sentiment from the Classic Mouse Graduation Sentiments set that I hot foiled on the Poppy card stock with a black foil.

I added foam squares to the back of Classic Mouse and attached him over the center of the Solar Flare.
