Hi friends, I’m so behind on my blog posts that I’m feeling like a snail!! 😂 The Pretty Pink Posh May release will be here on the 14th with the cutest bugs at least on paper!

This Day One of the Sneak Peeks for the PPP release. I have the new Snail Shaker Dies and the Rounded Stitched Rectangle Dies.

I started off with the Layered Bugs Stencil (3 layers) and a standard A2 panel of Neenah on a grip mat. Inking on with dye inks in purples, blues, greens, soft red and black.

Next, I die-cut out the elements to make the Snail Shaker, die-cutting out the shell portion 6 times to stack up for the Color Splash Shaker Beads. I tried to pull in colors from the shaker beads, so I made the snail a blue card stock from my stash and added shading. Then to back the shaker I chose some polkadot pattern paper from Doodlebug. I added goggly eyes, cheeks and white highlights, and set it to the side.

With the third largest Rounded Stitched Rectangle die I die-cut out a white panel. I than measured it out and made a black mat about 1/8inch larger on all sides and a corner bunch rounded the corners.

With the Grass Border Dies I die-cut out some grass then went back with the same Rounded Stitched Rectangle die and ran it through with the grass die cut to get it to match up with the rounded panel.

Before I started to attach all the elements together with liquid glue, I took the Corner punch and rounded the Layered Bug panel. I even rounded out the corners on the card base as well.

Then with the new Cute Bugs Stamp I stamped out the “Crawling by to say Hi” and trimmed it out using the Sentiments Strips Dies. Wait until you see the Cute Bugs stamp set it is soo stinkin’ cute!
