Whimsical Village Collection

Hi Crafty friends, the new Whimsical Village Collection by Vicky Papaioannou is now available over at Spellbinders. This is such a fun and whimsical collection, it just puts a smile on my face!

For my first card I went with the Whimsical Blooms Dies tucked behind the Whimsical Houses Dies. These houses are great because you can custom make them all different ways by using the different doors and roof tops. I’ve seen them put together to where it looks like one big manor.

For the back panel measuring standard A2 size of Neenah, I embossed it with the new Whimsical Skies embossing folder.

I then stamped and white heat embossed the “A Happy Hello” from the Whimsical Wishes Stamp set on to Raven Card Stock.

For all my cards today, I kept my color palette the same. It keeps them more cohesive and they look better for the photos.

For my second card, I die-cut out an arch with the second to largest Essential Arches Dies from a panel of Windy card stock. Then I ran the panel through my P6 with the Whimsical Skies embossing folder. After wards, I ran a white pigment ink over the embossed panel. Making the swirls show up more on the windy panel.

Then with a white panel I ran it through as well with the Whimsical Skies. Matching up the embossing to where once the Windy panel was placed over it, they had continuing swirls. Popping up the Windy Arch panel with foam stripes, I attached it to the white embossed panel.

Making more of the Whimsical Houses, I stacked them with two directly on the white panel. The other three were popped up.

For a little more whimsical I added the small clouds and sun from the Village Companions Die set. This set is just darling with the dog and cat in there!

I stamped and white heat embossed the “Just a Note” from the Whimsical Wishes stamp set. If you know you’re making more than one card, you can stamp away and make lots of houses!

For my last card, I had a little more fun with it. Using the Open Lace Frames and Landscapes dies to create this adorable scene. Stamping and white heat embossing the “smile” directly onto the grassy hill. Adding the dog from the Village Companion Dies. And did you notice I added a white picket fence from the Whimsical Houses?
