Hi friends, it’s Day 3 of Sneak Peeks for the Summer Release over at Pretty Pink Posh on June 15th! If you missed on of the other days of sneaks head on over the PPP blog where you see a few of the DT creations!
For my sneak peek today, I am showcasing the Sun Shaker Die along with the Sunburst Pierced Plate.
I started off by die-cutting out 5 layers with the 2 dies to make the well for my Rock Candy Glitter. Adhering them together with liquid glue. Then I die-cut out another from yellow card stock. Removing the one inner die to die cut out a piece of acetate for my shaker window. Sandwiche it in between the stack and the yellow frame.
Also, with the outer die I die-cut a backing for the shaker with a more orange yellow piece of card stock. Filled my sun rays with Distress Rock Candy glitter and sealed it up with the backing pieces.
Now that the sun shaker is made, I flipped it over and added the center circle from the same card stock color as the backing of the sun. Then I added the cheeks and face to it.
Then with the Sunburst Pierced Plate I die cut it from a standard A2 white panel. Then with SSS Marine dye ink I inked up the outer edge of the panel and in the center where the Sun Shaker would be I ink blended on yellow dye ink.
I then splattered on the panel a Sparkle Splatter Effects from Spellbinders. Set it to the side to dry.
As the panel was drying, I die-cut out two of the small Stitched Cloud dies from White Card stock. With my brush ink brush I added a little color to the bottom of both the clouds. Popped up both of them with foam squares.
Next, with the new Summer Banner Greetings Stamp I stamped out the “ Hello Sunshine” with black ink. Using the Banner Greetings Stamp dies I die cut it out and popped it up also.
The panel is now dry and I started to assemble it with liquid glue.
