Hi friends back with my last club card for July at Spellbinders. Today, I’m playing with the Large Die of the Month -Merry Shuffle along with the Clear Stamp and Die – Cue the Merry for July. I should mention that this is a 5 X 7 card to be able to have them standing side by side and to let their legs swing!

I started off by die cutting out Santa and Mr. Elf, and the Tree. I add some white splatter to the tree and shadowing on the card stock edges with a darker dye ink.

Using the snow edge die from the Small die of the month, I die-cut out my snowy hill with Lawn Fawn Pixie Dust card stock.

For the background I could have used one of the new July club embossing folders or the press and foil club. But I really felt a snowflake background was best. So with the Snowfall Shimmer Press plate (on Sale now) , I hot foiled Opal foil onto Cosmic Sky card stock by Spellbinders.

I started to assemble my card adding the snow hill directly to the 5×7 hot foiled background with liquid glue. Then I attached the tree, adding a regular foam to the middle layer and 3D foam squares to the top layer of the tree. I attached my string of gold lights on next with liquid glue with an angle, trimming off any access string.

Then placing the legs on the snow to make sure the feet hit the snow, I added a 3D round foam in the hole so the legs would swing. Adhering the body with more foam to the back but making sure the legs could still swing.

I still need a sentiment so with the Clear Stamp of the month club I chose the “May Christmas Sparkle around You” I just stamped with Black ink on white card stock. Using the matching die in the set to cut it out. Popping it up with foam squares and attaching it to the background.

My final step was adding white highlights using a gel pen.
