Hi crafty friends, every quarter a group of talented friends do a hop so we can use our stash. We use to give two cards away but we found people just weren’t interested. But it’s still nice to play with my stash.
For my card today I went with a 5 x 7 card so I had more canvas! I wanted to make a fall card since I’ve been make so many lately with the HEROween box from Hero Art.
On my desk right next to me was the New Build-a-Scarecrow Die from Papertrey Ink. I thought that I may only have one! Ends up that I have a few but the one from Papertrey Ink is probably the cutest.
I started off by pulling out the WaffleFlower Tall Grass Dies, the haystack, and the Autumn Word die. But then I went through my Hello Blue Bird stash and found the Happy Fall Dies that I ended up using.
As I was in my “H” area I saw my Lovely Layers-Farm Cart from Honey Bee stamps and pulled it out. Having the Haystack I needed a bale of Hay. But the 5X7 just wasn’t enough area. So no Haystack, Bale of hay, or the Autumn Word die.
I used the Slimline Clouds stencil from MFT for the back ground panel. Always a good staple!
I did a lot of die-cutting and adding dimension on the edges with dye inks. On any of the Metallic Silver card stock to grunge it up a bit. I used Carmel Alcohol ink on them. I just added a couple of drops on my glass surface and ran the pieces through. Not all of it though, I didn’t want it covered completely.
I love how this turned out. I’m going to see if I can find links on Simon Says for you! Simon doesn’t have the Build-a-Scarecrow dies on their website!
Thanks and have a great week!
