Hi crafty friends, here with a new interactive Winter Mug Dies and Santa Dies from the Christmas is Here Release at Pixi Dust Designs.
This new Winter Mug Die is super easy to make and a fun way to give a Starbucks gift card to a co-worker or a friend. When you open up the card base part of the mechanism is attached to the front of the base. To where it moves the mug over and makes it curve up in the middle. Then behind the coffee mug there are tabs to add to hold the gift card in place. Also there are a few decorating dies in the set, a tree, candy cane, Gingerbread man, and snowflake. I do recommend to add the decoration to the front of the mug before you assemble it.
With the longer die for the mechanism you want to fold it in a Z shape. Before you start to attach the mechanism adhere the handle to the mug!
Then attach the one side that folds upward to the right side of the mug on the back side of the die-cut. There is a slit for the mechanism to slide through. Then with the Z fold that is away from you, you’ll want to have it right in the fold of the front part of the card base. Once I had the Z strip in place I attached the bottom of the mug underneath with liquid glue. You could if you want to do the gift card add the tabs to hold the gift card before you attach it to your card base.
Next, for the handle adhere the small mechanism folded like a U. One end will be attached about 1/8 above the longer mechanism for the mug already attached to the front of the card base. Open it up and lay it flat to attach the coffee mug handle onto it with liquid glue.

Now it’s time to decorate the front of the card and I had to use the adorable Santa Dies from the release. Now remember there is Mrs. Claus you could add her as well. Coffee and treats yes please! Using some of the elements from the Winter Mug I added them into to Santa Clauses arm rather than his bag of goodies.
For the sentiment I had one laying on my desk premade up from another project and the pattern paper is part of my stash.
