Hi friends, It’s the first of May and you know what that means! Mer-may month! This is my first Mermaid card that I’ve ever done, unless you want to call a tail one. 😂
Stamped out the images so I could mask them off. Not really having a plan but to color up the mermaid. I had to later fix a few things.
Once I stamped and masked the images on XPress It smooth white card stock. Masking off the bottom with the crab. I then ink blended the back ground with Salvaged Patina, salty Ocean, Mermaid Lagoon, and Uncharted Mariner distress Oxides. I sprayed on water for droplets and then soaked up with a paper towel.
Then add the Making Waves Stencil over it and add more of the Salty Ocean.
For the bottom sand I did Antique linen and splattered on Walnut stain Distress Oxide ink.
Over the whole panel I splattered on Lawn Fawn Liquid Star Dust.

Then I die cut out the panel using the Wavy Pierced Rectangle dies. Trying to center her more that meant cutting of the Seahorse. So I colored up the purple fish and fuzzy cut right on the line and liquid glued him on.
The panel was dry by now so I heat embossed with White embossing powder the sentiment from the set.
Stamped on bubbles with the Distress ink Salty Ocean over some of the fish. Then decided to add clear baubles from Pink Fresh.
Then adhered it to a standard card base with liquid glue.
Thanks for stopping by,
Debbie
