Sweet Strawberries

Hi Crafty friends,

Today I’m sharing this sweet card using the Sweet Strawberry stamp set from Whimsy Stamps. Strawberry season is just around the corner!

1. I started off with stamping out onto a 6X8.5 inch cardstock in my Misti using at first, Simon Say Pawsitively Ink but as you see I made a change to Lawn Fawn Merman Ink. It was just too much red, as my friend said I had a red blob!

2. Then once dried I die cut with the largest stitched rectangle from the new Mix and Match Scallops Die Set. Also from White card stock die cut out the largest and next size of the scallops.

3. Stamp the images onto X-Press It with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.

COPIC Colors:

Strawberries: R39,37,35

Green: G28,24,21

Teal: BG15,13,11

Flowers: Y11, C1, C0

4. With the second to largest scallop I put it in the Misti knowing I wanted the sentiment in the upper right side with plenty of room for the strawberries. Stamp the sentiment on with VersaFine Black Onxy.

5. For the mat behind I didn’t have cardstock to match. So I took a 4,25 X 5.5 inch panel and the Merman Ink pad and ran it around the edge. I made my own cardstock to match. It looks really dark until I dries.

6. Glue on the panels with Bearly Arts Glue.

7. Add 3D Foam squares to the back of the images for dimension and adhere!

8. I then went over the black dots and eyes with a Black Jellyroll pen. Then added white highlights and the dots to eyes back in. Shimmer pen on the flower pedals, and Glossy Accent to the Jelly Jar.

9. Add some embellishments to the corners with liquid glue, Trinity Stamps-DewDrops.

Debbie
