Hi friends, back with my set of girl Summer Camp Collection by Allison Frazier over at Spellbinders! This collection has been so fun making!

For my first card I did a reenactment of my daughter fishing with her Barbie pole and she was the only one that caught a fish on the dock at Detroit Lake here in Oregon.
I started off with the Woodland Trio Dies and made the hedgehog. But I will say this don’t attach them all together until the clothing is on that way the arms are in the correct area of the sleeves.

Lakeside Memories Stencil (SP) (SSS)
Essential Arches Dies (SP) (SSS)
Next, with the Lakeside Memories Stencil and a standard A2 panel on a grip mat. I ink blended on a more desert look with the mountains brown instead. Once it was all colored in I did go back with the residual ink from my yellow brush and went over the highlights in the water so they have the glow of the sun.
From the Splash Days Die Set, I die-cut out the fish from white cardstock and ink blended on blue and yellow inks. Also, die-cutting out the swimsuit from a pattern paper pack in my stash.
For my sentiment I stamped and white heat embossed the “You’re a Reel Catch” using the Summertime Sentiments stamp set.
I almost forgot to mention that I die-cut out the scene from the stencil using the Essential Arches Dies. Die-cutting out the second to largest from a matching blue card stock and then one more size down die-cutting out the scene.

For my second card, I went with the campers arriving to camp the first day!
I started off with die-cutting out the deer using the Woodland Trio set again. For the outfit I used a Lawn Fawn pattern paper pack, even for the Backpack from the Camp Days Etched Dies.
I knew right away that I wanted to bring in the previous released Ski Lodge Etched Dies from the Simon Hurley Collection. When I made it I just kept the snow and string of lights off.
For the background I just inked blended on with the greens and blue for the lake. I should mention that this is a 5X7 card panel. To get every thing on I knew I had to make a bigger card which is always fine for me.
Of course I needed some trees, using the Trails End Etched dies. I die-cut out three of the trees and the trail sign. I just needed to make sure the arrows pointed in the right direction.
I stamped and white heat embossed the “Adventure Awaits” onto the orange card stock that the bow in her hair was from using the Summertime Sentiments set.

For my last card I pulled out the Trailside Trio Etched Dies and the Lakeside Memories Stencil again. When I ink blended my background panel it was my trial run. I didn’t care for my ink blending and set it to the side. Then after it set for I while I decided it wasn’t as bad as I thought! For the beach, I did do some dotting with my Copic pen E44.
Since the sentiment was “Swim. Snack. Repeat” that I stamped and white heat embossed. I had to use the ice cream cone using the Summer Days Etched Dies.
