Vintage Lace Border

Hi Crafty friends, today I’m sharing the lovely Vintage Lace Dies from Pixi Dust Designs recent May release! I have to say that I usually struggle with dies like these. But I went to Pinterest and found some cards that inspired me and I think the two that I made with this die set both came out lovely. I will say one thing with dies like these that have so much detail don’t go crazy with the colors personally I wouldn’t even do rainbow. Just different shades of one color makes that most beautiful card with lace border dies.

For my first card with the Vintage Lace Die, I went to my Spellbinders Card Stock collection and found three shades of a peach colored card stock and die-cut out the Vintage Lace Border die from each one.

I then made a top fold Portrait card base and attached them directly to the card base leaving a space of about 1/2 inch from the top. Then with a matching ribbon I wrapped it around and tied off with a bow.

With all the white on the bottom of the card base it left the perfect spot for the sentiment. Using the new Classic Sentiment Dies I die-cut out the “Congratulations” with only the shadow and main sentiment die.

For a finishing touch I added matching pearls the centers of the lace border die cuts.
