Hi crafty friends, the new Shine On release over at Simon Says Stamps is now available! I have the Lettered Many Thanks stamp from the release. Since I didn’t receive the dies I did a technique taught by Shari Carrol at the Simon Says Create event back in May.
I started off with a standard A2 panel of Neenah Classic Crest Solar White card stock. Then I ink blended in sporadic areas a pink, orange, and yellow dye inks on the panel.

Next, with the panel in my Misti I stamped on the “Many” and the “Thanks” with the darkest dye ink. I did have to repeat the stamping several times to get good coverage. Then with a few of the stamp images in the set in different areas and the same dye ink, I stamped them. I cleaned and removed the stamps and placed more of others or some of the same stamps in other areas and stamped out with another one of the dye inks. For the last stamping I placed some of the smaller stamps to fill in and used a White pigment ink. You do need a new or very juicy white pigment ink pad for this to show up really well. Basically I’m trying to fill up the panel but not overlap too much. For some of the small stamps I used a clear acrylic stamping block.

Now that the stamping is done, I used the A2 Thin Frames Die Set and die-cut out from the center of the panel. I thought of using a gold metallic cardstock for the frame. But I ended up just placing the same frame back in place. But what I did do to make it stand out I cut out more of the frames to adhere together and stack up underneath the stamped frame.
