Spectacular Christmas

Hi crafty friends, today is release day over at Spellbinders! And we are doing Christmas in July, and I love it! I’m sharing the Spectacular Christmas dies, I didn’t receive the Spectacular Holiday Sentiments so I will be using other sentiments. I was in the groove and made all four cards in one day!

#1 Spectacular Penguin

This was a pretty simple one for me, with Penguin because they’re black I love using red with them. I went through my stash and found red pattern paper with snowflakes! Perfect! Cut it to a stand A2 panel, then with the 3rd largest Perfect Touch Arches Etched Dies I cut out a white panel. Next I ran the arch panel through with the 3D Embossing Club Folder this month the Festive Greetings. I then Die-cut out the Penguin, the body is from the Spectacular Bear Dies. It works for all three of the animals. I used red glitter card stock and for the glasses I used White Glossy cardstock from Simon Says Stamps. I wanted the Penguin to be holding something other than the Cupcake in the Bear set. So I went rummage through my stash. I was shocked how hard it was to find a snowflake. But in the Fergus- Christmas and Winter accessory dies there are three snowflakes. I only used the two smaller ones, die-cut from Pixie Dust Glitter card stock from Lawn Fawn.

For the Sentiment “ Let it Snow” I used the Ideal Moments BetterPress and hot foiled gold foil on Cranberry card stock.

I added some pearls to the middle of the glitter snowflakes to finish it off.

#2 Spectacular Deer

For these one I again found some old pattern paper from SSS kit that had never been used! I used the largest Deckled Rectangle to cut out a white panel. Then I die -cut out the Deer, after I assembled him I added white highlights with a gel pen. I even added the white spots to his forehead and cheeks. Once again what to put in his hooves? I went to my Spellbinders stash once again! I found the perfect size gift box in the Christmas Cocktails dies that was released like 2 years or more ago. To finish him off I used some essential gems from Spellbinders.

#3 Spectacular Santa

Not much of anything different than the first two but I did add some dimension by adding dye ink to the edges. Die-cut him out and assembled Santa with Liquid Glue then added foam squares to the back and popped him up onto the Color Block Arches panel.

The sentiments is from the new Dear Santa Kit, love them! Perfect size and font!
