Upright Italic Merry Christmas

Hi crafty friends, have you seen the new Upright Italic Sentiments BetterPress Plates by Paul Antonio over at Spellbinders? These are absolutely amazing fonts, and I of course had to hot foil them.

I started by heating up my glimmer machine and with the Upright Italic Merry Christmas plate on while it’s heating up. Once it was ready, I foiled with red foil on Hammermill card stock. Since it was already warmed up I did the Upright Italic Happy Holiday BetterPress plate as well using the Teal Foil from Spellbinders.

Next I centered the Stitched Die over the Merry Christmas using the Scallop & Stitched Edge Oval Dies. Then with a matching card stock I die cut out the next die in the set to frame the sentiment.

For my back ground panel I used the Tiny Dots Embossing Folder and ran a standard A2 panel through my Platinum 6 machine.

I used the new Festive Floral Mix dies from the Dear Santa Collection to decorate it up a bit more. Using my favorite Christmas color combination pink and red card stocks.

Then with my Upright Italic Happy Holiday BetterPress plate I went with snowflakes to decorate it. On the back ground panel I used the Flurry of Snowflakes Embossing Folder and ran a white panel through with it.

To die-cut the Upright Italic Happy Holiday Sentiment out, I used the inner dies from the Open Lace Frame Dies. On the framing I used a pretty teal glitter card stock in my stash. I also used it for the snowflakes. I went through my stash for those snowflakes and the only ones that I have from Spellbinders was in the Fergus Winter & Christmas Embellishments Etched Dies by Sandi MacIver. I layered them up with the teal and Pixi Dust Glitter card stock from Lawn Fawn.

Looking at it now, I think adding some pearls or gems to the centers would be pretty.
