Hi friends, here with the very festive Simon Hurley’s Snow Globe Scene Etched Dies over at Spellbinders.
I had won the Woodland Scene Etched dies a few years ago but still didn’t own the Snow Globe Etched dies. So this was nice to finally have them. I actually went to the Woodland etched dies a lot to use the dies for other scene cards!

For my first card I die-cut out the globe circle die from the Simon’s Snow globe Etched Dies and ink blended on a night sky with Distress Oxide inks. Once it was dry I splattered on some snow.
Next, I die-cut out the remaining elements to the City Skating Scene, added some white splatter. Except for the Pixie Dust Glitter Card stock from Lawn Fawn for the snowy area.

I went to my pattern paper stash and found this pretty snowflake paper Let It Shine-Snowflakes from Lawn Fawn that matched my colors.
Then with the largest Ripple Rectangle Frame die I die-cut out a white panel to add in between the snow globe and the pattern paper.

With the Holiday Truck Scene Etched Dies, I went with the black and red color combination. It’s kind of bold and wild!
When I was die-cutting out the Skating Snow globe I had a few extra bases to the globe. So rather than wasting it, I went to my pattern paper stash looking for something fun that would work. I found that Echo Park’s A Lumberjack Christmas was perfect!

Instead of using the whole Ripple Rectangle Frame Die for a panel, I decided to do the two largest dies together to make a frame instead.
I just kept it simple with the Truck and tree for my scene, the pattern paper gave me a snowy black background.
